Hazelnut round wax laces sit between cognac and light brown. The shade is warm without turning red, which makes it suitable for light leather shoes, suede chukkas and boots with a natural finish. The wax keeps the light cotton clean longer than an unwaxed lace, because dirt is slower to settle into the fibre. More brown shades are in the waxed round laces.

Hazelnut performs best on leather that is light itself. On dark brown shoes the lace reads as a pale line, which is fine, but only as a deliberate choice. Choose 80 cm for 3 to 4 eyelets per side, 100 cm for 4 to 5 eyelets and 120 cm for 5 to 6 eyelets. If you walk outdoors a lot, rinse the laces and dry them flat rather than on a radiator.
